Tour de Yorkshire. This three-day road cycling race is a legacy from when the Tour de France visited the county in 2014. The riders for the second edition of the Tour de Yorkshire will go from Beverley to Settle on day one. From Otley to Doncaster on Day Two. And from Middlesborough to Scarbourgh on the third and final day.

Comic Invention in Glasgow’s Hunterian Art Gallery takes visitors from the world’s oldest comic all the way to Scooby Doo. This major exhibition features, amongst others, work from Lichtenstein, Warhol, Picasso and Rembrandt as well as previously unseen original artwork for BatmanNew X-Men and All Star Superman.

If the recent celebrations marking the 400-year anniversary of William Shakespeare has intrigued you to explore the work of the bard why not visit Shakespeare’s birthplace to see one of his most famous works.
